A brilliant training with great content and video clips by Richard Greene in his TED Talk. He mentioned what a speech should be: "Having a conversation from your heart that you are passionate about!" That is a wonderful description...not a performance, just a conversation. It will make a huge difference when you are walking on any stage. How is your story coming along? Are you ready to be heard?

A wonderful TEDX talk by a young lady with a terrific personal humorous story. This just shows that telling personal stories really connects with the audience...add humour to that and you have got them engaged all the way! Brene Brown also delivered a TED talk about Being Vulnerable which I posted some time ago and Andrea shows this very clearly. Are you ready to share your story? Are you ready to be vulnerable?....Then it's your time NOW!

Your body language may shape who you are - Amy Cuddy

A wonderful and most informative TEDTalk by Amy Cuddy, a social psychologist. With many TEDTalks, the presenters are often not household names even though this particular talk has already had nearly 17 million views. Body language is most important in speaking, presenting, even just communicating with others, as it counts for much more than the spoken word. Amy uses practical examples and a good dose of humour to keep her audience engaged. I know this will be very helpful when developing your own talk or presentation and I will most certainly address this during training as well. Remember, small tweaks will result in big changes.
